GREAT ethnic food for eastern European Jews and anyone who enjoys variety. On our last visit there was a large gentile wedding party and a Chinese family.

Be prepared to spend a lot because this place is not cheap. The food isn't phenomenal but the experience is top notch. The troubadour is entertaining and the frozen vodka is delightful. Go with a large group of friends and be prepared to laugh and dance the hora.

Are you looking for an unforgettable night in the heart of NYC? Boy is this the place for you. NYC is such an amazing place to visit but with so many options it can be easy to just go with what you know will be good. NY is all about taking chances and Famous Sammy's is a place that will never let you down. I arranged for a bachelor party dinner to be here and it was incredible. Everyone had an amazing time and the staff and people there were amazing. I do not want to spill the beans about why this place is so special I think you should just go here instead and have an amazing time. I will be back.

Best of the traditional Jewish, kosher food, not too healthy but very delicious. It's rare to find places like that in NYC... forgotten food from the old jewish recipes.

Had a wonderful time at the new Sammy's last night. Food, music and service were great. They are a well oiled machine I was very disappointed that they no longer put pump/syphon type seltzer bottles on the table - they've been replaced with supermarket plastic bottles. You go to Sammy's for a particular experience/ambience and replacing the old seltzer bottles detracts from this mood and atmosphere. Space for dancing much more limited now. Not enough fans/air conditioners to cool off the place. There were many in our group who did not get up to dance because of the heat. On the whole Sammy's does not disappoint. We had an amazing time ... it's like going to a Bar Mitzvah with old friend's

So glad this restaurant has been able to find a new space to reopen in. Just celebrated my dads birthday with great food, lively music, and special friends. I threw my parents 25th wedding anniversary party here 10 years ago and so glad we were able to celebrate my dads 80th here as well!! We will definitely be back. The stuff cabbage was delicious, steak and flat chicken was tender and full of flavor, and of course the chicken liver and analy
